What features are new to the 2019 Ram 1500?

The 2019 RAM 1500 currently comes in either Crew or Quad Cab models. New for the cabin of the truck, the Crew Cab has been remodeled to have four extra inches of space for the second row seats. Greater legroom and a flat second row floor greatly improves the comfort of passengers, with the extra nice touch of reclining seats. New, unique interior colors and detailing comes individualized to the different trims. Longhorn gets Western tan/brown materials, and Rebel comes with boldly colored lines and stitching, for example. The exterior has been redesigned, from the frame to the headlights and most everything in between. An all-new 98% steel frame and new 6-lug axle makes the truck safer, lighter, and more capable to haul and handle greater weights and loads. Extra ambient noise and rough bumps are decreased with active tuned-mass modules and coil-spring suspensions attached to the frame. The new nose of the vehicle, with new narrower chrome grille, is just as aggressive with an air of military ruggedness. Headlights are smaller, but provide just as strong lighting with choice of halogen, LED, and front-lighting LEDs. Lift assist has been added to the tailgate, and optional are two bed-length lockable storage containers with added 115-volt outlet for charging tools on the go. RAM added a bunch of new standard features for better quality-of-life. A new 8.4- or 12-inch touchscreen controls phone calls and music; trailer-sway control, a rearview camera, and heated power-adjustable mirrors improves the ease of driving; 16 all-new wheel designs enhance the look of the truck on its 18- to 22-inch tires. Higher level trims also offer an upgraded gas tank (33 instead of a standard 23 gallon capacity), and power-folding trailer-tow side mirrors, dual-pane moonroof, deployable side steps, damped tailgate with power release, four-corner suspension, and dual exhaust tops.

What power does the new 2019 RAM 1500 engine provide?

Standard on most trims, the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine outputs 305 horsepower for the 2019 RAM 1500. The all new eTorque's 48-volt battery-powered motor generator replaces a traditional engine's alternator and enhances the truck's fuel efficiency, performance, and tow capabilities with mild hybridization. Torque can improve as much as 90 lb-ft or 130 lb-ft in the next engine option. If you're looking for more power, the 5.7-liter Hemi V8 engine delivers 395hp with variable valve timing and cylinder deactivation, and optional addition of the eTorque technology. Standard is the eight-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission for all its two- and four-wheel drive configurations. A diesel engine option is expected to be added in the future, although no current information has been released on the possibility.

How are the 2019 RAM 1500 safety features?

Over 100 safety and security come standard or are available for addition to the RMA 1500. Six standard airbags have you covered in case of collision.
